Advances in Epilepsy: A data science perspective

Epilepsy is the fourth most common neurological disorder, affecting more than 65 million people around the world It is estimated that 1 in 26 Americans will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. Here we look at how web resources like PubMed, social media data and news can be used to index the awareness of this deadly disease. We use web crawlers to index epilepsy related keywords and then clustering based approaches to classify their impact.
